Artemis Law Contest 2022

Prompt:

Lieberman-Taormina CCW Law is holding their annual scholarship contest to all children of Artemis Members aged 18 and under with a grand prize of $1500!

 

This year, all entrants are asked to write an essay on patriotism and what it means to you. You can approach this topic through several lenses, for example: What is the role of patriotism in your life or your community? What is the difference between patriotism and nationalism? Can patriotism promote xenophobia? Can it be exploited? Should it be considered a virtue? Should it be taught in schools? etc. Essays should be directed to a well-informed general audience, not a strictly academic one, and should be based primarily on the individual’s own observations.

Deadline:

Please submit your essays by May 20th 11:59 pm. The winners will be announced on June 1st.

 

Prizes:

  • 1st Place: $1500
  • 2nd Place: $1000
  • 3rd Place: $500
 

Submission Guidelines:

  • Essay length must be between 500-600 words.
  • Entries must address the current essay contest topic or they will not be considered.
  • The essay must be the student’s original work.
