Part 1

This 4-part introduction to Disaster Preparedness is open to everyone, regardless of whether you are just starting your preparedness journey or you are a seasoned “prepper”. This will be a lively, interactive, and informative gathering so don’t be left out. Register early as seating is limited. Remember, Don’t Be Scared, Be Prepared.

Part 1 provides valuable insight for common sense "prepping" when sheltering in-place and is the foundation for the entire course. Part 1 is REQUIRED to attend Parts 1-3. Topics include Background, Organization, Planning, Mindset and Communication.

Part 2

The series continues as we discuss key survival items, which are useful both during and post-disaster. Topics include Documentation, Illumination, Fire, Hydration and Nutrition.

Part 3

The series concludes as we discuss some additional key survival items and ends with each attendee beginning to develop their own personal Disaster Preparedness Plan. Topics include Evacuation Kit, Power and various Disaster Preparedness Plans.

Part 4

The final session of this 4-part series is OPTIONAL and begins outdoors for both hands-on and demonstration activities. We conclude back in the classroom for some final activities.
